Native Beeology
The media has drawn our attention to the plight of the non-native honeybee known to Native Americans as “White Man’s Stinging Insect”. As pollinator’s honeybees do the job but our native bees, our unstung heroes, do the job better.
Founded in 2014, Native Beeology has grown to educate thousands of people annually about the diversity of native bees and other insect pollinators that provide an invaluable service to humanity’s food supply.
Pollinators are keystone species that ensure a functioning ecosystem. Protecting our pollinators from insecticides, climate change and habitat loss will have a long and lasting ripple effect that will leave a legacy for future generations.
